NAUI SKIN DIVER CERTIFICATION COURSE
This is a certification
course in snorkeling and breath-hold diving. Upon successful completion of
this course, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water
breath-hold diving activities without supervision, provided the diving
activities and the areas dived approximate those of training. The course

* The student may choose to purchase or rent these items. These items is not provided as there are price difference between smaller and larger suits, sizes are limited some students may not fit in the rental wetsuit. To prevent inconvenience to students this item is omitted from the list.
| Academic
Duration Estimated classroom time in the academic part of the course is approximately 6 hours. This includes presentations on the fundamentals of diving sciences, introduction to equipment, environmental aspects of diving, dive planning, diving safety, and diving related activities. |
| Confined water
training: Practical application of the basic skills requires not less than 5 water hours. This includes demonstration and practice on basic diving skills, emergency procedures, and techniques on assist and rescues. These sessions is conducted in the shallow and warm crystal water at the beach. |
| Open water
dives Minimum number of open water dives required for the completion of the course is five. The open water dives allows re-practice of the skills learned during the confined water sessions and its applications in the actual diving conditions. All open water dives must take place during daylight hours. |
Ratios
I normally will not take more
than six students on any course I conducted. There is no minimum number. I will
be happy to teach even if there is only one student.
